The baby is here. It is a boy. 9lb 9oz., 21.25 inches. He arrived at 6:48pm October 5, 2011. His name is Miani Zion Crosland. As you may remember Miani is the name of my best friend in PNG (see this post: I want my EMTV!!!). It is kind of a big thing in PNG to give the baby the name of someone close to you (mostly family members or friends).

Both mom and baby are doing well. The baby’s head is very bruised but he’s ok. As you might imagine with a baby this size, he is a hungry boy. He has been eating like a champ since he came out.

Welcome, Miani! Can't wait to meet you when you come back to PNG! I don't think our time will cross when we are in Cairns. We get there November 10th. Maybe??
